Ilha do Mel is a bright, juicy and cheerful floral unisex fragrance released in 2015 by the French niche brand Memo. The perfume has joined the collection "Graines Vagabondes", conceived as a perfumer's travel diaries written in the language of fragrances. This time, the inspiration for the creation of a new aromatic composition was the wonderful island of Ilhe do Mele off the coast of Brazil. The delightful tropical nature of the island, whose silhouette looks like a whale swimming in the ocean, filled the perfume with amazing freshness and unexpected aromatic harmonies.
In the upper chord, the subtle, coniferous-spicy aroma of juniper is combined with the silky sweetness of hyacinth and the delicious citrus freshness of sweet, sun-soaked mandarin. The central chord blooms with a delicious bouquet of tart jasmine, honey orange blossom and intoxicating gardenia.
The sweet spice of the gorse and the subtle aroma of elegant velvety iris give the central chord a special sound characteristic of the island's nature. In the final chord, moist earthy vetiver creates the illusion of a humid jungle, and the most delicate, sweet vanilla and warm musk form a wonderful aromatic trail that beckons to a magical island.
